ACUPUNCTURE
At our multidisciplinary clinic, acupuncture is offered by both registered acupuncturists and chiropractors who are certified to perform acupuncture as part of their chiropractic practice.
Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to help relieve musculoskeletal pain and support overall physical function. It may be used as part of a comprehensive treatment plan for a variety of musculoskeletal conditions.
Registered Acupuncturists at our clinic are licensed members of the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario (CTCMPAO) and provide acupuncture as a stand-alone service in accordance with Traditional Chinese Medicine principles and regulations.
Chiropractors providing acupuncture have completed recognized continuing education in clinical acupuncture and perform this modality as an adjunct to chiropractic care. In these cases, acupuncture is delivered within the chiropractic scope of practice and is billed under the chiropractor’s license, not as a stand-alone acupuncture service.
Patients can choose the provider that best suits their needs based on treatment goals and provider expertise.
